Task Description

Provide a full range of services for the delivery to Anadyr of 20 units of specialized heavy-duty VOLVO equipment (all-wheel drive tractor dump trucks).

Distinctive Features of the Cargo

The equipment was manufactured to a special order and delivered from Sweden to work in hard-to-reach areas of the Far North of Russia. We were strictly limited in delivery time: the dump trucks had to be delivered by the beginning of the Arctic navigation

Project Implementation

The project, carried out by the staff of Trans Line, included a versatile service: starting with storage and customs clearance of the cargo, and ending with its “turnkey” delivery to the consignee in Anadyr. After adequate maintenance procedures the trucks were driven from Nakhodka railway station to the port of Vostochny. Following the necessary documentation clearance, the dump trucks were loaded into the ship’s hold. The vessel has been specially chartered for transportation to Anadyr. To load the equipment easily and safely, a vessel with a folding ramp was used.
When placing cargo on a ship it was important to take into account all technological instructions of the manufacturer so as not to disturb the expensive equipment of the tractors. At all stages of the transportation the representatives of Volvo were present on site to ensure compliance with all requirements for the operation of machinery. In Anadyr specialists of Trans Line also discharged the vessel and moved the equipment to the base of the consignee.
